This practise of mind and body with historical origins from India is currently the fastest growing wellness discipline in the world. We offer various style of yoga which combines physical asana practise, breathing techniques as well as meditation and relaxation. IS YOGA PHYSICALLY DEMANDING LIKE HIIT TRAINING?
You bet your bottom dollar it is! The main difference is a more meaningful slow physical demand that builds intelligence while ensuring longevity in the physical activity as you learn to build and develop while minimising risk of compounded injury.
I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE AND I AM NOT FLEXIBLE
Flexibility is one of the 5 pillar of physical fitness. Like any other type of exercise improvement comes over a period of time with consistent practise. Understanding that there is strength in flexibility is the first place to start. Ensuring not only mobility but stability will in-turn improve your lack of flexility which will all be taught with one of our yoga professionals
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO YOGA?
Yoga is for everyone. You need to 1. be human and 2. have a body! Chances are you just qualified! You will need to have a sticky mat (preferably a yoga mat purchased from a yoga studio or proper yoga supplier), workout gear/clothing that is easy for you to move in so more likely tight fitting and NO SHOES! Bring along a sweet towel or grip towel for your mat. Some water if you need to replenish might be advantageous
I HAVE SOME INJURIES I AM WORRIED ABOUT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
As with any type of physical activity it is important to understand your current limitation and then be aware how these will change day to day. Make your teacher aware at the beginning of class anything you are struggling with or need the to pay some additional attention to in-order to ensure you progress effectively
HOW LONG IS A CLASS?
Class times vary in length form a express session like 45 minutes to an advanced led practise of 120 min. Check the schedule and always make sure you are at-least 5 minutes early for the beginning of class.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH STYLE OF YOGA IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Like anything in life give it a try, try all the classes and see what resonates with you! Try different teachers and see who pushes your boundaries or holds space for you just as you need. Every day will be different and we look forward to welcoming you to our community!
