My journey with yoga began at a very early age; I was blessed to be allowed to practise yoga with my mom at the age of three in the 1960’s when yoga was first introduced to the western world. That is where the initial seed was planted and lay dormant until I reached my twenties.
I rediscovered the healing practice of yoga out of a need for stress relief during my stint in the Corporate World as a fashion buyer, realising that I found sanity and serenity on my mat. After I left the corporate industry I started my own fashion design label and once again the stress encouraged me to pick up a more serious practice which leads to my wanting to teach and share this passion that is yoga, meditation and pranayama.
I did my teacher’s training in Hatha in 2013 with Taryn Herselman at Shakti yoga centre and am registered with Yoga Alliance International. In 2014 I completed the foundation course of Yogabeez children’s yoga teacher training programme. The current styles of yoga that I teach are Hatha, Vinyasa flow and restorative yin. My aim is to inspire all whom I teach to fall in love with this very ancient and very magical healing practice.
My mission is to share the power of yoga wherever I may be. I hope to guide students through classes that are impactful and memorable.
Years ago I came to yoga out of curiosity, but I have kept it in my life every day since because there is so much to learn from this practice and lifestyle. Yoga goes beyond your mat and the studio and I hope to use my knowledge and personal experience to bring light, laughter and joy to my students
Manageress & Yoga Teacher
Yoga became the beginning of a life long journey for me. My teachings are grounded in the traditional lineage of Hatha yoga.I honour the traditions while awakening the true potential as an individual pin the modern world. I hope for each student to experience a journey that goes beyond the body and pierces deeply into the heart by weaving together asana, pranayama, and mindfulness.
I completed my RYT 200h Hatha yoga teachers course with British School of Yoga In 2004. I also completed my advanced RYT 500h Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga Training while in Rishikesh with The Himalayan Yoga Association-2019.
My first step onto the mat came at a time in my life when I thought I had exhausted all options and had nowhere left to turn. From that first step, yoga showed me that the happiness I was continuously searching for in this life was already within me. And I promise you can find that same, elusive happiness within you too. All you have to do is take that first step. I am a 500 level Hatha yoga instructor with a devoted love for everything calm, tranquil, slow and serene. I specialise in traditional hatha yoga but also like to incorporate and explore principles and techniques from more gentle, introspective styles like yin yoga and restorative yoga. My classes follow a balanced approach, focusing on uniting body, mind and spirit through the use of asana (posutres), pranayama (breath-work) as well as mindfulness and meditation techniques. My intention? To ensure that everyone who leaves class feels a little lighter, more balanced, calm and collected and fully committed to continuing down their own path to reconnecting with their true selves.
They call him the Africandragonfly! Mandla has been teaching for over 3 years now, and received his training in Rishikesh, India.
Yoga is such an amazingly powerful practice and has the ability to bring so much knowledge, peace and bliss to any practitioner. Thus, my passion is to use yoga to help others journey deeper within themselves and help them explore every layer of their being i.e. the physical, mental as well as spiritual. My classes are mainly strong, challenging but very fun😋 and are Ashtanga Vinyasa-inspired. All students are welcome and I so look forward to meeting each and every one of you beautiful yogis! Namastè

MICHELLE VAN STRAATEN
Michelle started practicing yoga in 2000. Her passion and deepening respect for moving the body with conscious breathing, inspired her journey to pursue as many different ways of exploring and twisting the body through a dedicated yoga practice. Her foundations started in India and a keen interest in the Ashtanga system led her to learn and practice in Mysore. She has studied with Richard Freeman, Basia Larsen, BNS Iyengar, V. Sheshadri, and Rolf and Marci Naujokat in India.
Michelle's classes have evolved into a vinyasa flow style and include plenty of arm balances and inversions. They seek to challenge the practitioner through sequencing and attention to alignment, breath and sensation while maintaining a sense of playfulness. Michelle’s passion to explore the subtle aspects of the practice is a fundamental element in her classes and she encourages introspection and awareness of the body by exploring sensations and ‘feelings’ in the body and breath that arise during the practice.
Muhammad finds expression of his purpose through his passions of yoga, life coaching & poetry. He holds a great fascination with movement (& stillness!) and entices deeper layers of conscious understanding of the Being, delivered through knowledge of the physical body and the interplay between body, breath & mind.
Teaching styles include Vinyasa (flow), Yin & Yinyasa (Vinyasa/ Yin combination) and incorporate strength and mobility drills as appropriate. Muhammad's classes typically incorporate elements of self- awareness , as well as philosophical principles of yoga for a holistic healing and wellness experience.
As an artistically creative person yoga came into Sabrina’s life as a way to cope with anxiety and physical health. Her journey was on and off for 10 years before she decided to take a leap forward in 2016 and completed her multi style YTT 200hrs on the small island Koh Tao in Thailand, with Mahi Power Yoga School.
She knows what is like to begin this practice we love so much, working well with beginners, pre and post natal and seniors, currently she is obsessed with sleep meditation and soundscapes (Yoga Nidra & Nada).
Her teachings are filled with a gentle strength, focused guidance and a vulnerable calm that can be felt in her classes. Humorous and compassionate, she loves to get everyone relaxed into their practice, whether starting out on this journey or deepening into it, continuously learning and sharing - “forever a student, forever a teacher, forever a yogi"

As a dancer/choreographer I stumbled upon yoga as a just another form of physical training in 2000. When I started doing Bikram Yoga in 2005 it was the first time that I really started to feel the benefits of Yoga. Not only was I finding a balance between flexibility and strength in my body, regained mobility in previously injured body parts, but I also found clarity of mind. Bikram Yoga really drew me in, and I knew I had to teach it. In 2006 I went to LA to do the teacher’s training course. I came back with more knowledge and enthusiasm and love sharing that with my students.
